The Brief

A Project Born in Switzerland

When a passionate Swiss motorcyclist approached Veloce with a vision, we knew immediately this was no ordinary commission. He wanted a complete leather racing kit that fused the raw energy of British racing heritage — the Union Jack, the deep maroon and ivory — with the precision craftsmanship that defines everything we build.

The result is what you see here: a cohesive, four-piece custom set comprising a full one-piece racing suit, Union Jack performance gloves, a leather jacket, and racing boots — all produced in-house, all built to exact specification.

Piece 01

Union Jack Performance Gloves

Perhaps the most striking piece in this collection, the Veloce 'Union Jack' gloves are a statement of national pride reimagined through the language of racing. Deep maroon, white, and gilded tones are layered in a flag-inspired graphic across the outer shell, while carbon-reinforced knuckle guards and a hard-shell wrist brace provide genuine track-day protection.

The palm is constructed from perforated goatskin leather for maximum grip and breathability, with strategically placed silicone grip zones across the fingers. A quick-release strap system ensures the gloves stay locked at speed, while remaining effortless to remove in the pits.

The number #88 — the customer's racing number — is embroidered in white on the back panel, a personal touch that elevates these from product to personal talisman.

Piece 02

The Racing Suit

The centrepiece of this Swiss commission is a full one-piece leather racing suit built in the spirit of the Yamaha MotoGP livery. A bold black-and-crimson base is layered with Monster Energy and Yamaha branding, echoing the electrifying aesthetics of the world's most celebrated race circuits.

Construction follows strict CE-rated armour placement at the shoulders, elbows, knees, and hips. Pre-curved ergonomic patterning ensures the rider sits naturally on the bike without restriction, while the dual-density foam back protector integrates seamlessly into the spine channel.

On the back panel, the Veloce signature sits centre-stage — a reminder of who built it.

How We Build

The Craft Behind Every Piece

At Veloce, custom doesn't mean modified off-the-shelf. Every piece in this Swiss commission was pattern-cut, assembled, and hand-finished from scratch in our workshop. We use only premium-grade cowhide and goatskin leathers, selected for abrasion resistance ratings that meet or exceed EN 13595 standards.

The graphic application on this collection is done through a combination of laser-cut appliqué leather inlays and heat-transfer sublimation on the panel sections — giving the design both physical depth and visual vibrancy that won't fade, crack, or peel after a season of hard riding.

We ship internationally. Lead time for a full custom set is typically 4–6 weeks from design sign-off. All pieces are built with competition use in mind, but many of our customers wear them on track days, mountain passes, and weekend rides where looking the part matters as much as performance.
